Wake Aquatic Partners is a proud provider of the American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification curriculum. Become a Certified Lifeguard and work with us at Wake Aquatic Partners for the summer! Or, take your new water safety and life-saving skills with you into future endeavors. Offered in the spring and early summer, the lifeguard certification provides participants 15 years of age and older with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over. 

Blended Learning Notice

Wake Aquatic Partners is proud to lead the industry in lifeguard instruction with a redesigned program that combines the flexibility of blended learning with the essential depth of hands-on training. Unlike other companies, we use online learning to enhance, not replace, in-person practice—giving students more time to build the real-world skills that save lives. While our classes may run longer than competitors’, we deliver a higher standard of preparedness, ensuring every participant gains the confidence and capability to respond effectively in aquatic environments and in unexpected emergencies, both on and off the job. You will receive an invite to complete the blended learning course 2 weeks before the scheduled start date of your class!

Attendance Policy

Participants must attend all of the scheduled class dates and times in order to complete the course and be certified as a lifeguard. If a participant misses any part of the course, they will not be certified. No exceptions. Successful completion of the course results in a 2-year certification in lifeguarding, first aid, CPR for the professional rescuer, and AED.

Course Days & Times

The course begins with an online portion, which MUST BE completed before any in-person training can begin!

You are required to pass a swim test. Please view information on your corresponding test here:
